"The Godly Family"
Orthodox School for Women

A community of women inspired by authentic femininity — tender, modest, hardworking and devoted.

Home management is a skill that must be learned. We are learning the art of homemaking and wish to assist those who feel a lack of knowledge or inspiration.
As Christians, we learn love and humility every day. This is our primary study, demanding constant self-reflection.

Embracing the role of a homemaker does not mean forsaking one’s talents. We will also learn to nurture our dreams and our service to God.

Our community of Orthodox women was founded by Matushka Tatiana Filippova. She regularly hosts courses aimed at supporting the modern homemaker, helping her build a life relying on God, and surrounding her home and family with beauty and sincere care. To break free from the daily grind and endless cleaning. And, of course, not to forget about herself.

“A home, no matter how modest or small, must be the dearest place on earth for every family member. It must be filled with such love and happiness that wherever a person may later wander, however many years may pass, their heart will still yearn for their home. In all trials and troubles, the home is a refuge for the soul.”

The Diary of Holy Martyr Tsarina Alexandra

History

Three years ago, Matushka Tatiana, a priest’s wife and mother of many children, decided to hold a homemaking course for the parishioners of her husband Fr. Ilya. The course became very popular and was also made online for Matushka’s friends and acquaintances. With each new session, the number of participants grew, with many returning to take the course again. Until recently, “The Godly Family” school was sustained solely by Matushka’s enthusiasm and that of her followers. In 2023, Matushka formed a support community, making it possible to offer the course to a wider audience. Now the project is reaching a new level, and we hope it will continue to inspire and support Orthodox women, especially mothers of many children, all over the world. One of Matushka’s first students was Maria Fomina. A pediatrician with over ten years of experience working with her patients’ parents. As the eldest daughter in a large family of seven children, an experienced professional nanny, and a pediatrician, she was inspired to make a course in English. Having lived in London and Nazareth, Maria is convinced that the challenges that women face are the same all over the world.
